Dr. Nicholas Baker is the new Minister Commercial Counselor for Latin America, of the Australian Embassy, based in Chile and Regional Leader of Mining and Energy. Nicholas is also the champion of cultural and linguistic diversity.

He was recently Commercial Advisor for Mexico and Central America, also holding similar positions in Peru, Colombia, France and Spain.
 
Nicholas holds a PhD in Cultural Studies from the University of Technology Sydney, an MA in Sociology from the University of Sydney and a BA in French and Latin American Studies from the University of NSW.
