Biography

Executive with more than 20 years of experience in the mining and natural resources industries in Chile, Australia, and the United States. He has worked in different global companies and led areas of planning, studies, investment development, project execution and management of investment and risk programs (PMO) at a regional and global level. Extensive experience in evaluation and development of environmental management projects, studies and programs, leading multidisciplinary and multifunctional teams to deliver sustainable and sustainable solutions to operational, environmental and organizational challenges.

Independent reviewer/auditor (Independent Peer Reviews) of investments throughout the investment cycle (conceptualization, studies, execution, and post-investment review).

Esteban is deeply committed to forming and developing high-performance teams based on commitment, collaboration, a deep understanding of value drivers and their risks, based on integrity, responsibility, sustainability, innovation and “taking charge and ownership” of the themes and challenges. He has been part of leadership teams of Assets and Project Functions providing strategic guidance to decision making, prioritization and different perspectives to the anticipation of risks and opportunities.

Esteban is a Civil Industrial Engineer from the University of Chile – Mining Major and MBA – Master in Business Administration from the Catholic University of Chile. Esteban is married to Teresa, he has 3 children and during his free time he enjoys cycling, photography and spending time with his family in nature.
