Annual Letter 2024
It is a pleasure to greet you at the beginning of this new period of the Auscham Board of Directors, and it is a pleasure to welcome the new directors. We want to thank those who continue with us, and give the warmest farewell to those who have recently left their positions as Directors. We hope and know that we will have your active participation in our activities in the future.
For this 2024 we hope to continue with the development of our 8 Committees. We send a cordial greeting and welcome to our new Presidents. In this matter we hope to deepen their work, generating value for our members through the dissemination of commercial relations between Chile and Australia, and certainly with the focus on the development of our union activity, disposition for business development and share both Chilean and Australian experiences in the various industries that committees represen
As always, the development of our activities will be related to being a contribution to the different industries in which our partners work, always having a vision of sustainability and diversity in the business world. We understand ourselves as a contribution and tool so that the social license of our members is recognized and lasts over time.
Of course, I must thank the Australian Embassy, Austrade, and the Governments of Victoria and Queenslan. Institutions without which the relationship between Chile and Australia would not be what it is today and, without a doubt, Auscham would not be able to meet their union purposes without the invaluable support we receive from them, thank you very much.
I cannot miss to mention some projects that we hope will come to fruition and flourish in the coming months and years, such as the creation of a permanent and face-to-face relationship with the Antofagasta Region – a place where we have a large number of members – and the consolidation of our trade missions to Australia, which have been so successful in mining.
Ultimately, and remembering that they are the most important piece of Auscham, I send a big greeting to our members and invite them to participate in Auscham's Committees, Missions, Activities and Networking. Without you this chamber does not exist, and to further fulfill our union goals, it is important that we all participate in this great business ecosystem that is Auscham.
Finally, I remind you that the Chamber will be as beneficial and successful as the use that all of us who interact with it give it, so we invite you to continue being part of this association and make it known to your networks.
Big hugs,
Kenneth Maclean
Chairman of the Auscham Board of Directors
