Biography
Weapons Engineer with a mention in Telecommunications from the Chilean Navy, Postgraduate in Business Administration from the Adolfo Ibáñez University. In the last 22 years he has held positions as Chairman of Boards, Executive Director, Director of Development and General Management in companies; agriculture, telecommunications and energy in Chile and abroad.
In the last 12 years he has been linked to the energy industry in Chile. During his stay at HydroChile as Co-Founder and CEO, he formed the marine energy area; where together with the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and the National Institute of Hydraulics, two government tenders were awarded to carry out tidal energy measurements in the Chacao Channel and Wave energy in coastal areas from IV to IX region.
In 2010, he founded the company Renewable Energy Development Enterprise (REDE). Dedicated to managing the development of run-of-the-river mini hydroelectric plants up to 10 MW and marine energy devices. During 2015 and 2016, together with Fundación Chile was awarded the FIC Valparaíso project where marine measurements are carried out on Robinson Crusoe Island (Juan Fernández) aimed at the potential installation of Wave Motor devices.
Currently he is a Director of several companies, he chairs the energy and Sustainability committee of the Chilean-Australian Chamber (Auscham). President of the Chilean Marine Energy Association (ADEMAR). Member of the Technical Committee for Research and Innovation of ICOE (International Conference on Ocean Energy) In addition, he was Director and Vice President of Auscham for 6 years.
